getting more into the spirit of valentine's day...

I had so much fun finding apothecary jars, but really had a hard time putting candy in them, because I knew they would be a temptation to all, and believe it or not, I don't like a lot of sugar on hand...you couldn't tell by all the stuff we made!

These delicious cupcakes are my homemade devil food's cake with sour cream to make it more moist. I also added a few dark chocolate chips into the each cupcake batter before cooking, so the person enjoying the cupcake would get a gooey bite on the inside. This amazing homemade chocolate icing also includes sour cream amongst other ingredients, which is THE BEST TASTING icing I've ever eaten. My absolute fave!

We also made peanut butter and chocolate pops on a stick. Nothing like sucking on a solid chunk of delicousness!

I loved the pink striped paper straws from www.thesugardiva.com(expensive shipping), in our vintage green tinted Williams-Sonoma drinking glasses I found at the outlets!

My super-cool-and-hip-and-laid-back-friend Jana and I made gumball necklaces. I found the idea on www.thetomkatstudio.com. Wow-you need any cute ideas for a party or theme, she's your gal! Unbelievable ideas for sure!
